The Revolution of Everyday Life
From freewillastrology.com You know about the Russian physiologist Ivan Pavlov, who discovered the conditioned reflex. In his famous experiment, he trained laboratory dogs to salivate at the sound of a bell. You may not have heard, though, about the story's surprise ending. The dogs were programmed for weeks with such rigor that their behavior became as predictable as machines. Then one day a flood inundated the lab. In the confusion, the dogs forgot all their training instantly. (Source: Raoul Vaneigem, *The Revolution of Everyday Life*) |

post modern pop BS
In case nobody noticed it THERE ARE TONS OF GREAT MUSICIANS/ARTISTS DOING ORIGINAL WORK But all that ever gets circulated online are people doing videogame remixes, or a needlepoint version of a disney character or somebody doing oil painting reimaginings of movie stills or mashups. I love all of this as much as the next guy, ok except mashups which 99% of the time are TWO FUCKING SONGS BEATMATCHED AND ADDED TOGETHER, but maybe you should pay attention to originality and unique voices instead of all the stuff you hated at the time in the 80s but now love in some sort of hip ironic way. |

Stargate drinking game
Looked online for some ideas. My wife and I take a drink anytime Teal'c says "indeed" or uses the whole name "Daniel Jackson". Other good suggestions are drink anytime O'Neal doesn't understand something. Anytime the gate is turned on. Anytime self-destruct is activated. A drink for any show with Hammond. Two or several drinks anytime Daniel Jackson dies. Chug if Teal'c makes a joke. Two more days until the next season. It always sucked and is now worse without MacGyver but it is still awesome to watch for some reason. |

I am so bad about updating. I've been in a funk lately - wasting time on all the dumb internet sites. I've started reading books again for inspiration. Also, the South Park episode recently about the girl's fortune teller was amazing and brought back many great memories. I think it is the cutest thing in the would to watch my cats lie side-by-side, tapping their tails in rhythm to the Smiths. |
